Implementation Specialist

The primary goals of this position are to deliver an exceptional on-boarding experience for our clients, and to implement properties on Resident Billing, Utility Expense Management, and/or Vacant Cost Recovery services as quickly and accurately as possible. The Implementation Specialist will perform the technical set-up work required for all RUM implementations. This includes, but is not limited to: resident billing profile set-up, utility and convergent line set-up, system integration work, and meter set-up. The Implementation Specialist will apply experience and knowledge to ensure that properties are set up in the system to bill what the client would like, as the client would like, and to ensure all property utility accounts are set up for timely processing and payment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure necessary set-up work is completed timely and accurately to ensure an exceptional client experience

• Work closely with Implementation Consultants and Coordinators to collaboratively keep properties moving through the implementation process

• Utilize project management skills to keep all implementations on schedule, and proactively escalate internally as necessary when/if a property is at risk of not implementing on time to avoid a possible push

• Continually monitor and evaluate project statuses and communicate consistently and effectively to internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, and with a high level of customer satisfaction

• Generate Account Validation Reports and pre-bills, which will be presented to the client by the Implementation Consultant for review and approval

• Make all requested profile changes, re-run activity, and re-generate pre-bills as necessary

• Provide support and assistance to Implementation Consultants and Coordinators as needed

• Develop and maintain exceptional knowledge of the company’s products, services, systems, and processes including billing methods, regulatory restrictions, sub-meter rate options, CAP’s, Utility Expense Management, customer service, account management, utility alerts, pre-bill process, custom reporting service, and web tools/reports

• Participate in special projects as requested. This includes custom reports, special data requests, and/or explanations

• Make recommendations on process improvement that will aid the department in meeting its goals and objectives

• Other duties as assigned


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• High School Diploma and relevant experience required

• At least two (2) years of experience in utility billing preferred

• Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), with understanding of Excel formula functions

• Strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral) required

• Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments at one time required

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment dealing with complex issues on an on-going basis required

• Ability to work and think independently while still acting as part of a team required

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic required

• Must be detail oriented and deadline driven
