We are currently looking for a Business and Legal Services Liaison to join the GuideStone Team:

This position will operate as the primary contact and liaison to facilitate the delivery of legal services meeting the corporate and employee benefit needs of GuideStone. Specifically, this position will function as project manager and will perform an initial review of contracts, provide first-level analysis of legal and regulatory questions, and help ensure the timeliness of deliverables to various business units. This position will also work with GuideStone’s attorneys in managing responses to regulatory requests or litigation. The Business and Legal Services Liaison will perform a vital role supporting the corporate secretary function of GuideStone, as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer. To be an effective contributor in this role, the successful candidate will have sufficient experience to identify and assist in resolving legal and business issues related to GuideStone’s corporate and employee benefits needs, products, and services; as well as the ability to communicate and develop relationships with outside counsel and business partners.

Requirements
  • Experience working in a corporate legal or compliance department or law firm, as a contract administrator, or in a position demonstrating related responsibilities, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to evaluate requests from and relay guidance to GuideStone senior management, executives, employees, and clients.
  • Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment and appropriate discretion with respect to various corporate and employment-related issues.
  • Ability to manage expectations of colleagues within Legal Services by accurately assessing and actively managing significant deliverables and competing priorities.
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve by identifying, distilling, and appropriately escalating business and legal concerns while performing legal and regulatory research as needed.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
