BUNZL IS KEEPING BUSINESSES MOVING

Under general supervision performs the cutting of various types of fabric in preparation for production. Also cuts material according to customer's specifications. Attention to detail is required to eliminate costly errors. Knowledge of fabric characteristics and how it determines cutting method. This position reviews the cutting schedule on daily basis and monitors fabric inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand basic English
  • 3 or more years' experience in cutting fabric
  • Basic Math skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand at work station 8 hours or more
  • Proficient in the use of an Electric Cutter Machine
Requirements
  • Must wear safety belt, cutting gloves and safety glasses
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide using different units of measure
  • Measure marker for total yardage required
  • Keep a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate with manager if production has an issue with a cut
  • Performs duties in a safe and efficient manner
  • Must be safety conscious in the operation of any company equipment
  • And/or other duties as assigned
