The Senior Production Foreman is responsible for the supervision, scheduling and safe execution of effective and economic installation, operation and maintenance of oil and gas production operations. This includes the planning, directing and ensuring the overall performance of production and operational functions for his/her assigned area of responsibility. This position reports to the Superintendent.

Job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following, for the Senior Production Foreman’s assigned area of responsibility:

  • Responsible for the direct management and supervision of company production and well servicing for an assigned area of responsibility, leading team members in Production roles.
  • Responsible for the direct management and supervision of company construction, salt water disposal and/or compression roles.
  • Manage operations to achieve goals for operational excellence, profitability, cost control, quality and productivity.
  • Work closely with team members in Engineering, Drilling, Marketing, Completions, Automation and Measurement.
  • Work in collaboration with additional functional departments to achieve the company’s goals and initiatives (HR, HSE, etc.).
  • Review well production with Foremen and Operators and decide what actions are necessary to maintain smooth operations and maximize production.
  • Direct the resolution of production and maintenance problems to ensure efficient spending and operations. 
  • Ensure new construction aligns with efficient spending and long-term operational excellence.
  • Oversees subcontracted services, to include but not limited to: roustabouts, pipeline contractors, well servicing contractors, contract pumpers, and materials suppliers and delivery personnel.
  • Models and practices safety according to company standards at all times and is required to attend all safety training. Responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and or safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, performing emergency response procedures, and performing regulatory compliance procedures.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas industry, oil and natural gas liquids work experience preferred
  • At least 3 years of management experience
  • Must have an intricate knowledge of On Shore Orders pertaining to Oil and Gas handling, measurement, storage and sales
  • Proven ability to motivate, train and coach direct reports to create a cohesive team
  • Demonstrates ability to successfully lead teams of different disciplines
  • Proactively approaches problems, addressing potential issues quickly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle multiple tasks with changing and conflicting responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Demonstrates computer competency
  • Excellent problem solving
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with Regulatory Agencies
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
