Bowhead seeks an Oracle Applications DBA to join our ERDC Data Warehouse team in Vicksburg, MS. The Oracle Applications DBA will be responsible for database management system programming using Oracle and Crystal Reports. The Oracle Applications DBA will also assist with products to design, build and debug dataset queries to retrieve data from relational databases, processing the data and producing the output in various formats for reporting. The Oracle Applications DBA will assist in developing new, and updating existing, automated Crystal Reports for the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Qualified candidates must have knowledge of Unix and Java to develop reports in WebFOCUS and must have extensive knowledge of Oracle, Crystal Reports and programming languages listed below.

Other essential functions will include:

• Assisting in developing information systems using C++, Java and PL/SQL
• Developing security authentication codes to interface between U-PASS and the ERDC DWH
• Assisting in developing and maintaining various cryptographic modules
• Managing user accounts, access control and system level programming

Requirements • BA/S in addition to at least five to eight (5-8) years of Oracle Applications DBA experience is required
• Must have, or be able to obtain prior to starting, a CompTIA Security+ certificate
• Extensive demonstrable skills in Oracle and WebFOCUS skills is also required
• Must have extensive working knowledge of C++, Java, PL/SQL programming languages as well as Unix
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. To receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level, however candidates with an active Secret clearance are highly sought. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
