Description PROGRAM MANAGER (ADS2-19-1475-W):

Bowhead is seeking a Program Manager in Springfield, VA. This person will serve as the Program Manager for a large IDIQ vehicle in support of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The Program Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the contract which will include the cost forecast and spending, scheduling, performance and staffing.

Essential duties will include:

• Serving as the main point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), the Government Program Manager, and the Contractor’s senior management
• Directly contributing to program efforts in several areas, including cost management/avoidance, schedule estimation and tracking, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities
• Ensuring proper performance of tasks to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the contract
• Utilizing expert communication skills to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents
• May be responsible for marketing new technology or follow-on business acquisition
• Responsible for business development within current customer base and/or for new customers



Requirements • Bachelor’s degree and more than eight (8) years of related professional experience is required
• Must meet the compliance baselines for DoD 8570 compliance or IA certifications commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order and applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task order
• Must have past experience performing senior level management, technician and specialist duties and must have excellent inter-discipline and organizational skills
• May work as a key member of the senior leadership team and will oversee performance across several disciplines related to the contract
• Must possess experience in identifying, reporting and resolving issues related to performance of systems, individuals and the contract
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly clearance at this location.
