Description LOGISTICIAN (F3500-22-1197-F):

Bowhead seeks a Entry Level Logistician Specialist to join our team in Crane, IN at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC Crane). The Logistician shall be capable of supporting various phases of day-to-day operations and support for the Fleet division.

Other potential tasking includes:

• Providing Fleet Support for the following systems: ADEPT, ADSSS, NTCR, AN/SPY-1, MK99, SPQ9B, AN/SPS-64, AN/SPS-67, AN/SPS-73, AN/SPS-48 and AN/SPS-49
• Providing logistical technical support to PEO’s (Program Executive Office) and ISEA (In Service Engineering Agent): including planning, coordinating and evaluating logistical actions regarding installation of systems
• Providing logistical technical support to PEO’s and ISEA to support plans showing funding, manpower, material, facilities, services and transportation efforts to ensure proper execution of work efforts regarding removal and scheduling of radar equipment removal and disposal
• Coordinating with Government entities (NAVSUP, DLA, NSWC PHD, Port Engineers) and Fleet personnel and shipyards for coordination and scheduling of radar equipment installation
• Maintaining Fleet Support Database to track Trouble Tickets in regard to fleet issues, CASREP tracking, document review and collection, Fleet Support metrics tracking
• Providing SPY Microwave Tube Support with site surveys, recording MWT serial numbers, MWT and cabinet readings, assess, record, and photograph as necessary condition of MWT cabinet
• Assisting Task Manager with all assigned tasking and data calls
• Providing Logistics Management support for the ADEPT System (Adaptive Diagnostic Electronic Portable Test-set)
• Developing initial shipping document information to field/retrieve units, tracked shipment of units from OEM and from NSWC to Homeport, maintain database of units to include location of unit on ships and all essential data
• Coordinating with Program Management Representatives to address and resolve fleet issues
• Developing current and out year fielding plans for equipping CG (Guided Missile Cruiser) and DDG (Guided Missile Destroyer) ships
• Developing calibration plan to determine when units are to be removed from ships for calibration service
• Assisting in coordination of training schedules for the personnel utilizing the ADEPT unit, tracking Programmatic Issues and coordinating resolutions, and addressing Fleet Issues that arise and working with OEM for resolution
• Maintaining weekly status report slides for submission to Program Office (PEO-IWS1)


Requirements • A Associate degree is preferred however a high school diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum. Must possess a minimum of at least two (2) years relevant and applicable experience as well.
• Prior experience supporting NSWC Crane is preferred.
• Prior experience and knowledge of logistics procedures and processes is preferred.
• DAWIA Level I training/certifications preferred.
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level however candidates with an active Secret are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
