Description Financial Management Specialist (EPASS-20-1225-F):

Bowhead seeks a Financial Management Specialist to support the EPASS contract in Patuxent River, MD. Financial Management Specialist will assist with a broad range of financial management duties and responsibilities including preparing funding documents and executing funding on behalf of the program in CCAR and Navy-Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP), completing tri-annual reviews and maintaining open document listings in FMSUITE, retrieving daily operating budget ledger reports in Command Resource Information System (CRIS), researching accounting transactions as needed, and utilizing the various DoD financial management systems used to support the program. Current systems include CCARS, N-ERP, CRIS, FM Suite, electronic data access, and DFAS CHOOSE.

Other duties to include:
• The Candidate shall be responsible for monitoring unexpected balances, independently researching balances, interacting with both government field activities and Candidates, determining the appropriate dollar amount for recoupment and taking proactive action to deobligate dollars.
• The Candidate shall provide reconciliation support by monitoring financial execution information in various systems (CCARS, N-ERP, CRIS, FM Suite, and DFAS CHOOSE) and taking action to reconcile any deltas and ensure that all systems have matching data.
Requirements • Has the knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performing. Has the ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and process related to their area of expertise. Shall also have the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines. (Program Office and Staff Level Support interface)
• Functionally Aligned Minimum Recommended Education and Experience:
• BA/BS, ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD
• OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, five of which must be in the DoD.
• Candidate shall have a working knowledge of the DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR) and associated AF instructions as well as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
