Bowhead is seeks an Acquisition Specialist to support the PMA-266 Counter UAS IPT contract in Lexington Park, MD. The Acquisition Specialist will be an integrated part of the IPT and perform acquisition support, develop and review documentation, and recommend/develop acquisition strategies, plans and courses of actions for PMA programs.

Essential functions will include:

• Acquisition planning, documentation development and reviews, program support, resource planning, and acquisition and briefing support for UAS platforms.
• Acting as the Liaison for PMA-266 acquisition between AIR-1.1 and other outside entities
• Establishing communications with leadership and PEO for taskers the PMA needs to respond to/complete
• Creating and managing team presentations provided to internal teams, prime contractors and their subs, as well as senior acquisition and Department of the Navy leadership, as required
• Supporting and drafting program milestone related documentation to ensure compliance with all aspects of the DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives
• Supporting the development of program acquisition documentation, such as Acquisition Plans (AP), Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASR), Procurement Initiation Document (PID), Statement of Work (SOW), funding documents, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and Acquisition Program Baseline Agreements (APBA).
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a business related discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of business/acquisition related experience is required OR an individual with an Associate’s degree PLUS an additional four (4) years’ of experience in a relevant role may be substituted.
• Intermediate level experience and familiarity with DoD 5000 Life Cycle and terminology
• Basic knowledge of acquisition documentation and be able to review and provide recommendations to the IPTs within the PMA
• Desired experience with Acquisition Management Systems and Tools - Procurement Management Tool (PMT) and/or the Common Spend Plan Tool (CSPT)
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. To receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
