Description Senior Software Engineer (ARAT-18-0676-F)

Bowhead is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to support the U.S. Army Reprogramming Analysis Team (ARAT) Infrastructure Enhancement Activity in Atlanta, GA. The Senior Software Engineer must be an accomplished problem solver with strong analytical skills who is creative, resourceful and able to work both independently and as part of a team in support of on-going projects. This individual will act as the central POC in programmatic and operational coordination of ARAT’s early involvement in software design, development and field testing, post production software sustainment, and development of implementation plans between supported customers, other activities of ARAT, and the ARAT Program Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support and coordinate the requirements development for acquisition programs
• Manage and support systems and software engineering aspects of acquisition programs with a primary focus on software sustainment phase of the life-cycle
• Provide oversight of the requirements, design, and development of systems during all phases
• Identify software-related issues for systems transitioning into PPSS that impact software sustainment support post transition
• Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software
• Participate in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems
• Solve engineering problems (or manage the solution of engineering problems).
Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required. Advanced degree is desirable
• 9 years min experience

• Intimate knowledge of ARAT’s mission, organization, technical capabilities, infrastructure, stakeholders (internal and external), and transitioning systems
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to interface with others at all levels of leadership
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Resourceful – motivated and able to seek out the right resources and points of contact to perform job functions.


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must have an active and be able to maintain a security clearance at the Top Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Top Secret clearance at this location.
