Bowhead is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada. The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring and troubleshooting computer networks and associated assemblies as well as assisting with technical assistance, help desk and training to system users. Other duties will include the configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis and repair of databases, switches, networks, video systems, and long-haul communications. Qualified candidates must hold a Top Secret SCI Clearance plus Security+ certification.

Essential job functions include:

• Installing, upgrading and administering operating systems and application software in a multi-user client/server environment (including Windows NT).
• Documenting, analyzing and finding the root cause for configuration and process changes and recommending changes as necessary.
• Maintaining cross platform inter-connectivity for network services, authentication services, e-mail and web services.
Requirements • A High School diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum PLUS ongoing technical training and/or certification specific to hardware/software tools necessary to achieve desired results. Post-secondary education is a plus.
• Must have a minimum of five (5+) years of experience in a Systems Administrator role.
• Must currently hold, or be able to obtain prior to starting, a CompTIA Security+CE Certification.
• Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license
• Experience with DoD operational Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions is highly desired.
• Requires a solid understanding of network software (Exchange, WorkFlow, etc.). Would include network topology, standards, and protocols. Possess knowledge and hands-on experience administering Windows XP, Vista, and 7 workstations as well as Server 2003 and/or 2008.
• Solid expertise in Microsoft Office Professional software suite required. (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
