Description SCHEDULING MANAGER (AFSOC-19-0665-F):

Bowhead seeks Squadron Scheduling qualified personnel to augment Air Force Special Operations Command’s (AFSOC) 1st Special Operations Wing squadron operations. The focus of work is to support non-flying additional duty positions traditionally filled by rated aircrew members. Position will work as part of an integrated contractor/government workforce providing specialized knowledge, skills and abilities in the responsibilities described below. Location: Hurlburt Field, Florida.

Essential functions:

1. Provide continuity and assist with range/airspace scheduling, flying mission tracking, scheduling, and related training support as designated by the particular squadron

2. Schedule approximately 200-400 people, working in close concert with operations personnel to track daily flying operations and coordinate scheduling and training requirements to ensure aircrew currency and qualification

3. While solving complex problems and last-minute changes, assure 100 percent mission requirements are filled with no gaps in mission coverage

4. Assist squadron leadership on daily operations within the current operations unit to include flying schedules and de-confliction of aircrew currencies, qualifications, upgrades and training rides. This includes any airspace required for the execution of the scheduled flying line.

5. Use the Center Scheduling Enterprise

6. Assist in forecasting, developing and coordinating with various internal and external agencies with the execution of the squadron flying and ground range schedule
Requirements Seeking Aircrew professional(s) with education and experience commensurate with the position outlined above.

-- Experience as an Aircrew Scheduler in an operational/training flying unit.

-- Minimum two years of experience working with Microsoft Access, Excel, and SharePoint

-- Demonstrated high degree of understanding and knowledge of SOF aircrew procedures to include tactics, techniques and procedures, aircrew training, standardization and evaluation, publications management, exercise management, and mobility requirements

-- Proficient in the utilization of Center Scheduling Enterprise

-- PEX experience preferred.

-- Knowledge of Air Force (AF) and Special Ops Forces (SOF) organizational structures, functions and procedures, as well as command relationships and responsibilities, highly desired.


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold and be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for clearance at this location.
