Description GRAPHICS SPECIALIST (PEOC3T-19-1063-F)

Bowhead is seeking a Graphics Specialist to support the Army Futures Command Communication Team in Austin, TX. The Graphics Specialist is responsible for photos, videos, content creation, editing and production of photo and video products for use in AFC’s branding, online presence and displays.

Responsibilities will include:

• Producing and directing video presentations.
• Interacting with corporate-level staff and advising on best photography and videography environments.
• Developing guidance across Army Futures Command and various subordinate commands to inform internal and external audiences through photos and videos.
• Other duties and projects may be assigned by the Program Manager as team priorities change.
• Collaborating with Defense Media Activity (DMA), Defense Video Imagery Distribution System (DVIDS) and Army CORE to market content in support of AFC strategies.
• Creating an archive of all photos and videos in an organized manner.
• Organizing and populating content to Army CORE Website, DVIDS, DIMOC and Flickr.
• Developing dynamic content for use with the goal to create virility in AFCs online presence.
• Providing the AFC Social Media Program Manager with industry-level suggestions and content in support of AFC strategies for potential use on social media platforms and
• Providing slide visualization, photo, audio and video editing and production assistance to the AFC Communication Team.
• Developing and updating photo, video and audio training aids that are interactive for distributed learning to subcommands to ensure video, photo and audio products are relevant and engaging.
• Providing advice, support and guidance on the preparation and design of information and branding materials for industry and academia partners.

Requirements • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years demonstrated tactical/media communication level experience is required.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software and the knowledge to recommend other software and hardware to increase product appearance.
• Skilled in photography and videography to work on a team supporting various communication campaigns and programs.
• Knowledge of communication principles, methods, practices and techniques to develop public affairs projects aimed at enhancing the understanding of groups or individuals opposed or indifferent to significant aspects of the agency.
• Ability to prepare and/or edit written captions, cutlines and other written supporting products, ensuring proper use of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Candidate must have working knowledge and experience of social media methodology and practices.
• This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station less than 30% of the time.
• Must demonstrate the ability to balance day-to-day demands for missions requiring immediate attention with the need to achieve long-term organizational goals.
• Proven track record of successful imagery and meeting goals on time.
• Experience in planning for and supporting both traditional and non-traditional media, development and use of exhibits and collateral materials (banner stands, posters, brochures, etc.).
• Possess demonstrated excellent video production skills.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold and be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
