Description ARTILLERY FIRE CONTROL / FIRE SUPPORT SPECIALIST (PMF-19-1073-F):

Bowhead seeks an Artillery Fire Control / Fire Support Specialist in Fort Sill, OK for immediate hire.

The Artillery Fire Control/Support Specialist has the knowledge and expertise necessary to understand program requirements, objectives and training materials relative to the subject matter. Using this knowledge, this professional acts as a liaison with Army TCM Fires personnel, Software Developers, and Marine Corps Artillery Detachment personnel.

This location utilizes the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), which is the Fire Support Command and Control (C2) system employed by the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps units to provide automated support for planning, coordinating, controlling and executing fires and effects.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

• Emphasis on the use of the following programs / systems including
-- AFATDS
-- EMT/C2PC
-- Centaur
-- Sensors
-- MTS
-- Forward Observer System (FOS)


• Provide Program Office (PO) AFATDS FoS with detailed technical and operational support to assist in decision-making and requirements development.
• Understand program guidance from PO AFATDS FoS and express this guidance as USMC positions on fire support and system/software requirements.
• Extract key points from meetings, briefings, demonstrations and identify potential issue(s) of concern to PM Fires.
• Report critical issues (information judged to be of immediate concern) to PO AFATDS FoS via email, telephone or text as these issues arise.
• Provide a weekly report summarizing all information presented, and positions taken by involved personnel, during meetings, briefings and demonstrations attended.
• Augment field support and training/fielding efforts as required.
• Review and critique briefing material, training material and fielding plans.
Requirements • Bowhead seeks a recognized artillery expert with demonstrated industry experience in a technical field relevant to artillery fire support.

• Requires a minimum of nine (9) years hands-on experience with artillery fire support, which must include three (3) years of experience in the following:
-- Systems Requirements
-- Operational Requirements
-- Test & Evaluation
-- Training

• Technical training in relevant C5ISR field, preferably Marine Corps MOS 0848 or 0861 or US Army MOS 13C, 13D,13F or 13J.

• Requires knowledge of AFATDS FoS usage as defined in appropriate Marine Corps Reference Publications plus familiarity with USMC and Joint fire support doctrine.

• Except for instances of specific delegation of authority, this is a support role and not a decision-making position.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold an active security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
