Bowhead seeks a Systems Administrator to perform duties involved in the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of operating systems and related software. Team GDIT and Bowhead’s mission is to provide superior Information Technology and Information Management Support to the Europe District of the USACE located in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Daily duties will include:

• Establish and implement standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software, operating system and networking problems.
• Schedule, perform and monitor system backups and when necessary, performs data recoveries.
• Recommend hardware and software upgrades, according to growth statistics and disk space forecasts.
• Responsible for evaluating, developing, maintaining, and monitoring usage of telecommunication systems.
• Acquire, install, and maintain company's local area network or wide area network.
• Responsibilities require an understanding of both networking and telecommunications theory and practice.
Requirements • A Bachelor’s Degree an additional (5) years’ experience or a minimum of (8) years’ experience as a Network Administrator is required.

• Ten (10) years’ experience in IT systems architecture with technical responsibility for websites, databases, and networks.

• Network Operating System: MCSE certification plus experience with Microsoft Server 2008 R2 and Active Directory is required.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold and be able to maintain an active security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
