Description COMPUTER PROGRAMMER (F3012-20-0283-F):

Bowhead seeks a Computer Programmer/Systems Administrator to join our team in Crane, IN at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC Crane). The Computer Programmer/Systems Administrator will be responsible for setting up and maintaining classified and unclassified networks for the Infrared Countermeasure (IRCM), Laser Effectiveness Branch (WXRN) and the Modeling and Simulation Branch (WXRQ). The Computer Programmer/Systems Administrator will use Linux based servers in support of the Advanced Expendable Infrared Countermeasures (AEIRCM) program. Current IT/IA functions in a Linux environment on a closed enclave network. The Computer Programmer/Systems Administrator will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, computing issues, installing and maintaining the latest IA software and upgrading hardware/software to ensure the servers and machines are at an optimized level. Both branches generate a large amount of data that needs to be sorted and maintained in an organized manner that is easy to access when needed using Linux-based servers.



Requirements • BA/BS from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Computer Programming or related field is preferred but experience commiserate with the above duties is required
• Must have experience with ASP.NET 3.5/4.0, VB.NET, JavaScript, SML and Visual Basic for Applications
• Must have experience with MS SQL Server 2008, SSIS, IIS 6/7 and Access 2007/2010
• Must have experience with Adobe SFA Forms and Microsoft Active Directory
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certifications and complete a minimum of forty (40) hours of continuous learning per year to maintain credentials required for accessing and editing the web server located at a data center
• Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level, however candidates who hold an active Secret are encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
