Description SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (ERDC-21-1421-F):

Bowhead seeks a Senior Software Developer to join our team in Vicksburg, MS. The Senior Software Developer will assist in the design, creation and implementation of engineering services for desktop, web and/or mobile applications while meeting defined standards and procedures. In this position, you will use advanced knowledge of programming languages such as, but not limited to, C, C++, JavaScript, Python, HTML and other mobile development toolkits. The Senior Software Developer will develop design for user interfaces and the system and ensure implementation is relevant. The Senior Software Developer will also review and respond to help desk tickets for the system as well as provide technical documentation including source code, systems and design documents, data dictionary, release notes, implementation guides and user manuals.


• This position will require travel-an estimated four (4) trips at five (5) days each for a total of twenty (20) days. Locations may include, but are not limited to, Washington, DC; Huntsville, AL and Fort Worth, TX.




Requirements • BA/S in Computer Science or related field and an additional five to eight (5-8) years of professional experience
• Must have experience with programming languages such as C, C++, JavaScript, Python and HTML
• A CompTIA Security+ certificate may be required prior to starting this position
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Public Trust clearance at this location.
