Description ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST (PMDCATS-18-0147-F):

Bowhead seeks an Administrative Support Specialist to provide support to the Product Lead, Defense-Wide Transmission Systems (PL DWTS) contract at Fort Belvoir, VA. The Administrative Support Specialist will assist with project maintenance, reporting, and subject matter expertise in the field of business and administration to aid in the overall sustainment of PL DWTS portfolio.

Qualified candidates must have three (3) or more years documented experience performing program office administrative work in accordance with the expectations of the program office outlined below and must currently hold an active Secret Clearance.

Program Office Requirements:

• Develop program management briefings and other program documentation, including staffing and tracking staffing items for PL signature;

• Tracking completion of SACO action items to be completed by Government personnel;

• Assist project leads with Execution and Program Baseline (EPB) briefing, Quarterly Program Review (QPR) briefings, bi-weekly staff slides and other program slides as required;

• Participate in IPTs or other subgroups formed by the PL (this may include coordinating IPT meetings (syncing calendars and meeting attendees), contributing functional or technical expertise, and/or providing administrative support to any of the government Project Officer leads or managers);

• Prepare for and conduct monthly communications reviews covering planning, objectives, risks and accomplishments;

• Provide PL strategic planning support (Mission, Vision, Strategic Objectives, and Metrics) for PL DWTS Portfolio programs; and

• Assist in development of executive level briefings, when necessary.



PL DWTS is a part of the Project Manager, Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems (PM DCATS) at Fort Belvoir, VA. The organization as a whole is responsible for a suite of more than 100 projects, ranging from worldwide strategic satellite communications and Wideband Control systems, long-haul terrestrial microwave, and fiber optic communications systems, to Technical Control Facilities, Combat Service Support communications systems, critical power infrastructure, and combat vehicle intercom systems.

Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent PLUS a minimum of three (3) years of program office support experience is required.
• Candidate shall be capable of performing program office administrative work in accordance with the expectations of the program office.
• PM DCATS experience highly desired.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold and be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
