Description Maintenance Supervisor (CBOTH-20-1786-W):

Bowhead seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to support an upcoming Government small boat maintenance & repair contract in Kingsland, GA. The contract will providing nationwide transportation, storage, maintenance, and repair for a rotatable pool consisting of over a hundred aluminum-hulled small boats with inboard diesel engines and a suite of marine electronics.

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer. Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained and provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.

Essential functions will include:

• Coordinate and supervise the work of employees in the maintenance and upkeep of Government-owned small boats and trailers.
• Maintain hull, mechanical, electrical, electronics and related systems.
• Perform the work of employees and other duties as required.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment in the facility.
• Supervise other maintenance personnel to include scheduling, assigning and completion of all maintenance tasks and service orders.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree preferred but prior military service equivalent highly desired
• 3-5 years’ in boat or ship repair as a foreman or leadership position.
• Experience with any or multiple of the following highly desired: Yanmar engines, Mercruiser outdrives, Cummins engines, ZF transmissions, Hamilton water jets, Furuno radar, FLIR, Motorola radios, Graytronics intercom, Trimble navigation electronics, Gentex headsets.
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
