Description SYSTEMS/NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (SPAWAR-18-0035-F):

Bowhead seeks a Systems/Network Administrator to join our team in Charleston, SC. The System/Network Administrator will be involved in the routine operation, testing, implementation and maintenance of operating systems and related software for telephony equipment. In this role you will be responsible for Avaya PBX switches and related equipment including the Callegra voice messaging system. You will troubleshoot and resolve routine software, operating system and networking problems and complete tickets in Remedy system. The System/Network Administrator schedules, performs and monitors routine system backups and when necessary, performs data recoveries. You will also complete moves, adds and changes as well as maintain telecommunication network or wide area network. Qualified candidates must have an understanding of both networking and telecommunications theory and practice.
Requirements • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field is required in addition to three to five (3-5) years of experience in a similar role
• Must have excellent customer service and organization skills
• Familiarity with Avaya (legacy Nortel) telecommunications equipment and Remedy system is required and familiarity with VOIP is a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Good customer service skills and organization required.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold and be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
