Description MEDIA SPECIALIST (IWSL-19-0696-F):

Bowhead is seeking a Media Specialist to join our team in Dahlgren, VA. The Media Specialist sets up, operates, and monitors, computer systems and devices for acquisition and analysis of data, utilizing knowledge of electronic theory and operation of computer systems.

Additional functions for the Media Specialist may include:

• Maintain the library of media (documents, tapes, cassettes and microfiche), which presents few difficult data processing problems (e.g. damaged media or misplaced media).

• Respond to data processing problems or corrective procedures, refers problems that do not have pre-planned procedures, and works under general supervision of the higher-level Media Specialists.

• Generic office organizational skills, general knowledge of Combat Systems shipboard library organization and requirements, basic understanding of Navy library CM concepts and tools which could include TDMIS, ATIS, VIEWNET and DOCMS and willing to train energetic team members.
Requirements • Requires at least one (1) year of experience managing, shipping, and/or receiving classified and unclassified computer media and/or documentation. High School Diploma required; Bachelors Degree desired.
• The Media Specialist shall have demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving media errors and data processing problems.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
