Bowhead is seeking a full-time SCA Engineering Technician I in Kings George, VA. The Engineering Technician I will support our NSWCDD Potomac River Test Range weapons testing efforts.

Essential functions of the Engineering Technician include:

• Ability to work with common hand tools including but not limited to crimpers, strippers, soldering irons, drills, and other various tools associated with installing, repairing and replacing various types of cables and lines
• Ability to work directly with both internal and external programs/projects and personnel
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to a variety of audiences
• Ability to work in a high tempo fast paced team environment while keeping a cost, quality, schedule and safety approach
• Engineering Technician must have the ability to multi-task and the ability to switch focus from primary job in order to support any and all aspects of testing to ensure the overall mission is accomplished

Requirements • High School diploma and 0-2 years of experience with test equipment including but not limited to spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, millimeters and network analyzers
• Should have experience with setup, operation and troubleshooting of RF equipment including antennas, transmitters and receivers
• Must have knowledge and experience of software-based instrumentation and the ability to learn new software in order to complete testing at hand
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Prior military experience is considered a plus

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
