Bowhead seeks a Food Service Equipment Mechanic to support the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) at Fort. Jackson, SC.
The Food Service Equipment Mechanic must have experience installing, repairing and maintain food service equipment and duties outlined below are not meant to be all inclusive.

Essential functions will include:

• Installing, servicing and repairing stoves, refrigerators, dishwashing machines and other electrical household or commercial appliances, using hand tools, test equipment and following wiring diagrams and manufacturer's specifications
• Replacing worn or defective parts, such as switches, pumps, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, blowers and defective wiring
• Repairing and adjusting appliance motors
• Must be capable of reassembling appliances, adjusting pulleys and lubricating moving parts
• Will perform preventive maintenance checks and services on equipment based on AR and equipment manuals
• Must be capable of reading and understanding manufacturer operation/maintenance manuals and conducting the maintenance as instructed

Requirements • A high school diploma or GED required at a minimum
• A CFESA Certification, OSHA 10 and EPA Universal Certification are highly preferred
• Experience installing/repairing/maintaining Food Service Equipment is required
• Experience working with gas, electric and steam appliances preferred
• A familiarity with the military is preferred but not required.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. To receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Public Trust clearance at this location.
