Description ORDER CLERK (FRCASE-22-0988-F):

Bowhead seeks an Order Clerk to join our team at Solomons, MD. The Order Clerks are responsible for a variety of tasks supporting many departments operations and tasks will include filing, copying and updating databases. The Order Clerks typically interact with various levels of employees regarding their material needs and also assist with research on availability and pricing.

Essential functions will include:

• Preparing purchase order documentation and coordinates with appropriate departments for approval
• Working alongside the purchaser, will ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
• Recording and filing documents accurately while maintaining confidentiality
• Receiving, preparing and verifying documents while responding to routine requests with standard answers
• Researching and compiling information and data as assigned
• Answering phone, in-person and email customer service questions
• Performing data entry while following established procedures to process paperwork
• Performing other related work as assigned
Requirements In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least two (2+) years’ of experience in a clerical and data entry computer position.
• Any prior experience with government contracts and locations is helpful as is any prior accounting experience.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check and obtain a Public Trust and CAC access. Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.

Where driving may be required or where a rental car must be obtained for business travel purposes, applicants must have a valid driver license for this position and will be subject to verification. In addition, the applicant must pass an in-house, online, driving course to be authorized to drive for company purposes.
