Description Quality Assurance Specialist (CBOTH-20-1782-W):

Bowhead seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to support an upcoming Government contract in Kingsland, GA. The contract will providing nationwide transportation, storage, maintenance, and repair for a rotatable pool consisting of over 100 aluminum-hulled small boats with inboard diesel engines and various marine electronics.

The Quality Assurance Specialist will plan and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of organizational quality standards; establish a culture of continuous improvement and provide value to the customer as well as analyze client requirements and research findings to develop and recommend solutions to business challenges.

Essential functions will include:

• Inspect government-owned equipment or materials in the possession of the contractor to ensure compliance with the contract or regulations or to prevent misuse.
• Conduct measurement and analysis of quality trends and the development and implementation of process improvements.
• Maintain Safety Record and continually work on improving safety policy and procedures within the facility.
• Examine records, reports, and/or other documents to establish facts or detect discrepancies.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2 years experience as a QA Specialist in an ISO 9000 certified organization.
• Experience with IS9000 or CMMI level certification.
• Experience with any or multiple of the following highly desired: Yanmar engines, Mercruiser outdrives, Cummins engines, ZF transmissions, Hamilton water jets, Furuno radar, FLIR, Motorola radios, Graytronics intercom, Trimble navigation electronics, Gentex headsets.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team



CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
