We are currently seeking a water/wastewater process engineer/scientist to work in the Water/Wastewater Department of our Chicago office. In-depth knowledge in water and residuals treatment processes (environmental engineering) is required. Must be team-oriented and possess a strong attention to detail. Responsibilities include engineering tasks such as the collection and analysis of data; preparing overall process designs and computations of treatment processes, piping, and pumping facilities; development of reports, specifications, and plans; and assisting the development of new water/wastewater treatment clients. Periodic travel, client meetings, and field work will be required.


  • BS in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering required; MS and PhD in Chemical/Environmental Engineering is required.
  • Must possess Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Wastewater modeling and plant experience preferred
  • Possess 5 or more years of relevant experience
  • Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Excel preferred
  • Technical expertise
  • Requires strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills
  • Excellent technical writing skills is a must
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills are required
  • Must possess the ability to interact with technical team members and clients.
  • Must have a desire to participate in professional organizations
