We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to work in the US Federal & International Programs market of our growing UAE practice. Location will be in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The position requires experience in the design software to plan and design transportation system, all utilities, hydraulic system in line with industry and government standards.

Essential duties include:

  • Analyze survey reports, maps and other data to plan and design projects.
  • Prepare civil design analysis and calculations according to the project requirements.
  • Prepare estimates quantities and cost of materials and labor.
  • Plan, organize, and recommend programs and resources for the discipline to meet the objectives of the technical organization.
  • Determine client requirements and develop specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents.
  • Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental studies, and designs for projects.
  • Evaluate need for design changes and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Serve as technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinate technical efforts within design areas.
  • Assist in the coordination of pricing, estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
  • Consult with construction personnel concerning design constructability as related to field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling of construction activities.
  • Attend onsite and offsite client meetings. Domestic and international travel will be required.

Background requirements include:

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
  • Proficiency in utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment preferred
  • Familiarity with working for the UAE based clients is preferred but; not mandatory
