Executes specific design and technical assignments in accord with design and technical leadership’s established project design strategies as required to meet client’s program requirements. Prepares appropriate design and construction documentation, and provides MEP engineering systems coordination, cost analysis, code analysis, specifications and materials research.


 Prepares partition and furniture plans; elevations with associated sections and details; ceiling and lighting plans; millwork plans, sections and details; furniture and furnishings layouts; and color, finish and materials plans and schedules.
 Demonstrates an understanding of the firm’s design process and is able to implement design leadership’s established design strategies.
 Manipulates basic design elements such as proportion, color, light, texture and scale.
 Provides color/finish/material research and selection.
 Prepares presentation materials and models for client presentations.
 Adheres to firm’s goal of excellence in design, execution and sustainability.
 Researches design concepts as required to realize design leadership’s established project strategies.

 Provides programming and space plan analysis and area calculations.
 Prepares contract documents including: demolition, partition and furniture plans, elevations and details, finish plans, color plans, finish schedules and reflected ceiling plans.
 Participates in site analysis, including survey of existing conditions and field documents.
 Researches manufacturers for furniture systems and finish materials, providing budget cost for selections.
 Participates in field observations to monitor construction process.
 Performs tasks according to PYR Project Delivery Manual.

 Organizes work activities appropriate to assigned tasks.
 Checks work for accuracy, omissions and legibility.
 Coordinates consultants and vendors as assigned.
 Mentors junior team members.

Requirements EDUCATION
 Professional Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline.

 3-6 years.
 Experience in application of interior design principles and theories.
 Basic experience in programming, planning, furniture, color, finish, materials and furnishings.
 Effective CAD, 3D computer modeling and graphic design skills.
 Effective written and verbal communication skills.
 Collaborative and professional work ethic.
