Description Under supervision of Design Director, assist in predesign, programming, and all phases of small to large scale high end residential and hospitality interior projects, including hotel guestrooms, hotel public spaces, residences and restaurants, including new construction, renovation and tenant improvement; assist in site survey of existing conditions, take as built measurements, obtain or prepare drawings and take photographs of existing conditions; assist Design Director to analyze sketches, photographs, notes, site survey of existing conditions & other research material to prepare project presentations; coordinate design details with Design Director and project team; assist Marketing Manager coordinate project contract details with international Project Director; research and incorporate International Building Code (IBC), local building codes, ANSI and ADA regulations into design; research finishes, furniture, fixtures and equipment for suitability for specific projects; prepare furniture plans and Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF+E) schedule; develop and detail FF+E and finish selections for hospitality and residential projects, including guestrooms, lobbies, meeting rooms, executive lounges, restaurant, spas, pools, roof bars and landscaped areas; coordinate with furniture vendors and manufacturers on furniture finish and color palette selections; use knowledge of graphic design to provide ideas of signage design that incorporate brand standards and graphics; produce construction documents using AutoCad and Revit, including reflected ceiling, floor finish, furniture, power & data, and life safety plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules; develop high quality interior elevation and plan renderings by using AutoCAD & Adobe Photoshop; prepare presentation documents to illustrate the design intent; prepare optional design solutions for clients including space relationship diagrams, space plans, elevations, sections, 3D perspectives, illustrative sketches, physical models and renderings; assist Technical Coordinator to review furniture shop drawings, materials, finish samples and submittals from project contractors; develop art and accessory packages using AutoCAD and InDesign for high end hospitality and residential projects; prepare finish schedules and integrate finishes with construction documents; assist FFE design director to develop customized millwork and furniture to incorporate ergonomics and client's requirements; calculate program areas and volumes; analyze plan efficiency of the design by usable area per person or other method; assist Design Directors with free hand renderings using water color, markers and/or color pencil; use 2D/3D modeling & rendering programs including Revit, AutoCad, 3D Studio MAX, Rhino, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to develop design and prepare presentations; organize construction, millwork and furniture packages for coordination with manufacturers; organize project data and communications using Newforma & Outlook; participate in construction progress meetings and site visits as needed; coordinate with local clients and vendors.
