The HR Manager will serve as a trusted adviser with overall generalist responsibility for a 85+ growing design office.

Core responsibilities will include all aspects of recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations, compensation guidance, routine benefits administrative support, workforce development, performance management guidance, employee recognition, record keeping and administration.

Professional Services Firm experience is a plus. This role requires a hands-on practitioner responsible for daily human resources functions, ideally suited for an individual with experience in a stand-alone HR environment. This is an extremely fast-paced, highly creative environment, requiring the ability to change focus quickly and stay up-to-date with multiple priorities and demands.
Requirements Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of HR employment law and regulations, strong analytical skills, and exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Passion, leadership, high energy and drive are critical to this role and within a demanding and creative environment.

Candidates must have a minimum of 8+ years HR Generalist experience, with an emphasis on recruitment, retention strategy, talent development and employee relations. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and excellent knowledge of MS office products is required; Deltek Vision and Ultipro system experience are highly desirable, including Cognos Business Intelligence. Previous HR experience in a professional services environment, preferably an architectural, interior design or engineering environment is a plus. Candidates must have or be working towards PHR.

This position will report directly to the Managing Director in Houston, working in partnership with HR Team in Dallas and across other offices.
