Description The Palliative Clinic Physician provides direct customer care in the clinic, hospital, inpatient and outpatient settings. The Clinic Physician acts as a member of the treatment team, ensures the delivery of quality care, and maintains professional competence. The physician will act within his/her scope of practice and within the privileges granted by North Memorial Medical Staff Credentialing.


Completion of accredited ABMS approved residency.

Graduate of an accredited Medical or Osteopathic School required.


Palliative experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must complete credentialing & privileging requirements upon hire.

Ability to remain or become awake and alert during on-call hours which include non-clinic hours, nights, and weekends.

Ability to answer customer and family concerns and provide medical advice by telephone to the ambulatory population when necessary.

License Requirement

Board eligible or certified by an ABMS-approved specialty      NMHC Standard

Current State of Minnesota Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy license      State Requirement

Valid DEA Registration      State Requirement

Current medical staff credentials in Specialty      NMHC Standard

Additional Requirements This position sits in our Palliative Clinic and requires Palliative experience.
