Matrix Service Company’s Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is designed to recruit recent college graduates and give you the skills and business acumen to prepare and accelerate your readiness for your chosen career within our organization. The program focuses energy on the development of real world skills that will ensure the development of you, the potential future leaders of our business. The 18-24 month program is rotational in nature and includes specialized training targeted at developing high-caliber construction science/management graduates such as yourself. You will be a direct, full time hire with benefits out of the Corporate office in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a range of developmental opportunities including self-guided and instructor lead training, mentorship, networking and leadership to name just a few. Our focus is on developing the next generation of Matrix leaders. You will participate in three major project rotations in the field for extended lengths to different parts of our business to get a wide range of experience.

Upon completion of the program, you will have gained an exposure to our business that will allow you to follow your career path in one of our business lines and functions. At that time, you will relocate to a regional business unit depending on aptitude and the needs of the business.


• Graduating seniors or recent college graduates with a BS/BA in Construction Science/Management or approved major.
• Construction experience through internships or co-ops.
• High level of initiative with a strong desire to learn, acquire new skills and optimize resources.
• Willingness to travel and relocate; flexibility to adapt with changing business needs.
• Effective time and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to think critically, conceptually and understand broad picture perspectives.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and problem solving ability.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with professional presence and demeanor.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through extracurricular activities, professional experience or community service.
• Proficiency in the use of personal computers and technology.
• Submission of three university or professional references.
• Documentation of current good collegiate standing and expected graduation date, such as with transcripts.
