Apply principles of accounting and taxation to analyze financial information and prepare various tax filings by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Preparation of annual federal and state income tax extensions and returns
•Preparation of quarterly estimated income tax calculations and filings for federal and state income taxes
•Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual provision calculations, including deferred schedules, tax rate reconciliations, uncertain tax position analysis and financial statement footnote disclosures.
•Assist in the review of property tax valuations, renditions, and filings, and reconcile resulting data to accrual
•Assist in the review of monthly sales tax returns and reconcile resulting data to accrual
•Assist with federal and state audits for all tax types; including income tax, sales tax, and property tax
•Analyze and prepare response to tax authority notices received.
•Understand and apply proper tax methodology for fixed assets and maintain tax fixed asset database.

•Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting/Tax from four-year college or university, Master’s degree a plus
•1-3 years related experience and/or training
•1 year of corporate and/or partnership income tax experience specifically filing Federal Form 1120 and 1065
•Public accounting experience a plus
•Working knowledge of various state corporate and/or partnership filings a plus
•Working knowledge of property tax and/or sales tax a plus
•Working knowledge of tax specific software programs such as OneSource, CCH On-Line, and Tax Stream a plus
•Certified Public Accountant license a plus
