This position is responsible for construction & maintenance of accurate standard cost of inventory; monitoring daily inventory transactions, and reconciliation of all inventory balance sheet accounts. The ability to create relevant production performance reports to drive improvements in the manufacturing process is a key role to the value of the cost analyst position. This position also serves as back up to the Accounting Manager. As such it is necessary to be familiar with all related facility accounting issues and income statement closing.


  • Analyze & summarize DRP transactions for intercompany shipments.
  • Monitor & calculate standard costs for the New Item Database to eliminate producing or shipping products without standards.
  • Perform month-end close by reviewing general ledger, reconciling accounts and making journal entries. Discern when inventory adjustments and/or scrap needs to be recognized.
  • Oversee & process the results of the annual physical inventory plus the outside warehouse. Counts are taken on all materials in the facilities and compared to the BPCS inventory levels with the difference being corrected.
  • Assist Accounting Manager in the annual preparation of the facility Operating Budget.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience in a manufacturing accounting environment. Strong math and computer skills Detail oriented with excellent problem solving skills. Experience in inventory control and analyzing inventory results helpful
