Title Inventory Analyst/Planner

Description The incumbent performs all cycle counts, coordinates inventory control, reports weekly and monthly cycle count scores, research and reports root causes of inventory discrepancies.

1. Fully participates in all company Safety and Continuous Improvement programs. Works safe at all times.
2. Cycle counts inventory, which includes corrugate, pallets, packaging supplies, work in progress and finished goods on a weekly/monthly schedule using the blind count method.
3. Responsible for implementing and training on procedures to assure the accuracy and integrity of BPCS perpetual inventory system
4. Reconcile inventory between BPCS and Accelos systems
5. Works with IT on maintaining hand held scanners. Works with Material Handlers on scanning. Reports all unresolved or reoccurring scanning errors to Warehouse Supervisor..
6. Reconcile all finished goods transfers to the distribution center
7. Familiar with the process for making all adjustments transactions to reconcile shop orders using BPCS and Accelos.
8. Maintain information and run all reports for weekly cycle count meetings
9. Attend all weekly cycle count meeting to review all cycle count quantities, reoccurring location, and total cost of adjustments.
10. Research and report root cause of inventory discrepancies and adjustments. Assist with ideas or plan for corrective action as needed.
11. Plan and schedules all thermoforming production, including monitoring forecasts and current inventory levels.
12. Support projects involving thermoforming production
13. Order and maintain inventory of floor stock items (pallets, slip sheets, etc)
14. Backup production planners for cup lines, die cutters and plate lines
15. Maintain files as outlines in the Huhtamaki Retention Policy.

Will work in a manufacturing environment and will use the following equipment: computer, printer, copier, fax, telephone, ladder, and forklift. Requirements walking (50%), standing (30%) and sitting (20%). Requires full range of body motion such as twisting, bending, squatting, climbing, reaching at/above/below shoulders and lifting up to 35 lbs., on a regular basis, and agility to handle all products.

2. Follow verbal and written instructions.
3. Must possess human relation skills.
4. Must be able to do mathematical calculations.
5. Familiar with Excel and Word to create spreadsheets and reports.
6. Must have thorough knowledge of the Company’s shipping, receiving and inventory control functions.
7. Must possess good communication skills to deal with outside vendors and inside departments.
8. Must be able to work any shift and schedule.
9. Must be able to work independently.
10. Possess a basic understanding of the BPCS, Transition Works, and Shipping menus.
11. Possess a valid driver’s license and fork lift license
12. Performs other related job duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Working Knowledge of inventory control and production planning . College Degree with emphasis in accounting or supply chain preferred or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment.
