Description Manage Planning and Scheduling departmental functions including Purchasing, Customer Service, MRP scheduling, Engineering Information Maintenance, Inventory, Shipping and Receiving.
Determine manufacturing schedule, release of materials and direct labor jobs to meet machine and machine component demands for Huhtamaki customers and all internal facilities. Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately, on time and complete. Drive continuous improvement throughout the department.
Evaluate all procedures and implement streamlined and effective methods that capture all expenditures within direct labor jobs.

• Provide manufacturing with attainable production plans.
• Coordinate material availability to all areas of manufacturing such that customer demands are met in the most cost effective and timely manner.
• Communicate plan to Sales and Operations and Field Service.
• Work with internal and external customers to resolve delivery, quality or pricing issues.
• Evaluate, document and implement improved internal procedures to optimize work flow and reduce manufacturing variances.
• Reconcile all closed shop orders, purchase orders and credits.
• Work with Phoenix and corporate accounting to allocate costs correctly to BU and departmental accounts. Develop new process as needed to work thru BPCS related issues.
• Review inventories, cost structures and order releases to meet customer deliveries and company goals.
• Develop and control departmental budgets and spending.
• Develop personnel annual goals and administer performance reviews.
• Ensure accurate and complete equipment bill of materials are entered and maintained within BPCS. Control and allocate engineering drawings as needed within the department.
• Process, prioritize and schedule incoming customer orders.
• Provide timely raw material delivery that meets customer and engineering specifications.

• Develop and maintain production schedule for customer orders including machines and tooling.
• Maintain finished goods inventory accuracy including the shipping and receiving functions.
• Establish reliable outsourcing relationships with vendors.
• Manage equipment leasing documentation, invoicing and Field Service billing.
• Schedule customer component and equipment shipments with all needed international documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements A degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field is preferred. Three years applicable supervision experience preferred. Familiarity with production planning, scheduling and cost accounting. Understanding of MRP systems and related support functions. Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office products.

Physical requirements: Employee will work in a manufacturing office environment. Requires prolonged sitting (80%), occasional standing (10%) and occasional walking (10%). Requires twisting, stooping/bending, squatting/kneeling, and reaching above, at and below shoulder. Employee will lift and carry up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
