Description
  • Identification, evaluation, analysis, coordination and execution of oil and gas acquisition and divestiture opportunities to contribute to the company's growth objectives.
  • Complete thorough economic analysis of project returns and track other appropriate measures.
  • Screen potential acquisition candidates for alignment with investment strategies and company objectives.
  • Lead acquisitions and divestitures projects from start to finish.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts for acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Consult with G&G, Land and Engineering staff to evaluate A&D opportunities and ensure they are properly modeled in economics.
  • Prepare management presentations of projects and assist in determination and recommendation of offer price.
  • Assess the technical risk of projects to help management make informed investment decisions.
  • Assist in due diligence and evaluation of due diligence findings.  If successful, assist in preparation of approval documentation and transition activities to integrate acquisitions into the organization.
Requirements

Qualifications:

 

Principle:

  • Bachelor's degree required with an MBA or advanced degree, a plus.
  • Prior Business Development experience a plus
  • 7+ years experience in evaluating the reserves and value of oil and gas producing properties.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently, as well as work within a multidiscipline team.
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both writing and presenting.
  • Proven ability to manage both projects and people.


Consultant:

  • Bachelor's degree required with an MBA or advanced degree, a plus.
