Cummins Pacific is looking for a talented and highly skilled Shop Production Technician to upfit engines with both factory and non-factory supplied/assembled options on a wide variety of equipment makes and models. This position is also responsible for building power units, recalibrating engines, and assembling parts kits on pallets. Key Responsibilities Each job is performed in a manner that is both expeditious and cost effective to the customer and Cummins Sales and Service. Work in conjunction with the Production Manager as an internal resources to promote 100% customer satisfaction for every product and service Cummins Sales and Service provides • Perform work in accordance with Cummins safety standards and practices. 100% attendance record at weekly HSE meetings. Complete a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for every job that is started. Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). • Shop Production according to daily schedules and work plans. Clock into the proper work order for the job. Be flexible, as the priorities may change throughout the day. • Engine upfit, as per instructed component changes. May include both factory & non- factory supplied/assembled options on a wide variety of equipment makes and models, including marine diesel engines. Work may also include installation of marine transmissions on engines.Recalibrate Engine Control Modules (ECM) and change parameters on engines. • Build Power units • Assemble parts kits on pallets • Complete job card documentation for each job, as well as safety documentation. • Escalate any deviations form the job card documentation to the Productions Manager for verification. • Work with Production Manager to draft accurate upfit estimates (parts/labor). • Work with engineers on prototype designs for new application and improvements on existing designs. • Notify Production Manager of non-operable, inadequate or unsafe equipment, or working conditions. • Maintain immediate work area clean and free from debris • Maintain and use proper area materials/inventory allocated to each project. • Return failed part and cores (tagged appropriately) or unused parts to Materials Coordinator upon repair completion. • Keep up-to-date on current Cummins products, services and procedures. • Complete all training requirements, continuously improve technical knowledge and skills • Work in a team environment with other technicians, as well as engineers and office staff. • Occasional building maintenance.

Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent
• Technical degree and 2+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Complete set of technician tools
• Acceptable driving record (no more than two points; no DUIs)
• Basic computer proficiency - able to document work performed in Cummins sales and service's computer system
• Forklift certified preferred
