Palm Harbor Homes is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to work in our Fort Worth, TX Plant.

  Responsibilities:

  • Maintains all machinery and equipment
  • Performs preventative maintenance as needed
  • Active member of Safety Committee
  • Installs new/rebuilt equipment including all mechanical connections
  • Small electric and pneumatic tool repair (i.e., electrical saws, routers, drills, nail and staple guns, etc.)
  • Maintains spare parts stock and ordering
  • Ensures machinery and tools are capable of meeting production goals
  • Must be able to work OT and Saturdays as needed
  • Performs various other job duties as assigned and needed
  • Maintain a good attendance record as it is critical for success
  • Demonstrate a good work ethic based on principles of honesty and integrity

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of all industrial equipment and machinery systems including 480V electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
  • Good knowledge of motors and their operation
  • Ability to observe and assess machinery operation and troubleshoot problems
  • Experience and understanding of the operation of hoists and cranes
  • Ability to understand equipment schematics
  • Good communication skills. Able to work with plant employees to understand problems and make repairs as needed
  • Ability to communicate via phone or email with equipment manufacturers to troubleshoot equipment and tools
  • Competent welder
  • Ability to work at heights using a boom-lift, scaffold, or ladder.
  • Able to move and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • “No task too great or too small” attitude
